Welcome to Emma Woodley and Mary Whitehouse, and thank you to Peter Campbell

Emmaw And Maryw 300Welcome to new Twenty First Century Science Project directors Mary Whitehouse (at York) and Emma Woodley (at Nuffield)

Mary Whitehouse has just joined the University of York Science Education Group after a spell in teaching, having previously been working for OCR in the development of the Twenty First Century Science project. We are very pleased to see Mary back.

Emma Woodley has just joined the Nuffield Foundation from the Royal Society of Chemistry. Emma is taking over from Peter Campbell as the Nuffield director of the Twenty First Century Science project, and will also be involved in the Nuffield KS3 STEM project. She will continue to work on Practical Chemistry.

Peter Campbell is retiring after seven years work on Twenty First Century Science and on the Practical Physics website, among the many other initiatives in which he has been involved. Peter was previously involved in the development of the Institute of Physics Advancing Physics course. We are all very grateful to Peter and pleased to report that he will be back at Nuffield from time to time. Meanwhile he is now working part-time at the Science Learning Centre London, training biology teachers to teach physics.
