Will we need to purchase new equipment for these courses?
Most of the practical work and demonstrations use equipment that you should already have. There are some novel experiments, where suppliers have been identified for the necessary equipment or plans are provided for technicians to make things - but none of these are essential for teaching the course.
The multimedia presentations greatly enhance lessons. This gives an opportunity to make a case for laptops and data projectors if you do not already have them and/or access to ICT facilities. But a data projector is certainly not needed in every lesson.
