Project team

Developing and supporting the C21 suite of courses

The Project Team is based at the Nuffield Foundation Curriculum Programme and the University of York. The team developed the suite of Twenty First Century Science courses in partnership with the Awarding Body (OCR) and publisher (OUP), and with the advice of the Advisory Group.

The Project Team continues to support teachers and schools running Twenty First Century Science courses, and is working on the revision of the courses for first teaching in 2011.
The team is grateful to the many teachers, scientists, pilot schools, and authors who have contributed to the development of the course specifications and materials.

The Twenty First Century Science project directors are currently Emma Woodley at Nuffield and Mary Whitehouse and Robin Millar at York. Previous project directors have included John Holman and Jenifer Burden at York, and Andrew Hunt and Peter Campbell at Nuffield. Peter Nicolson made an important contribution to developing the assessment in collaboration with the examiners.
