Twenty First Century Science project team

The project team are based at the Nuffield Curriculum Centre and the University of York Science Education Group.

The specification and the assessment

The Awarding Body OCR developed the specifications for the new courses in collaboration with our project team. Examiners appointed by OCR now set the operation examination papers and moderate the assessment of skills.

Publishing resources

The project team is working with Oxford University Press OUP in collaboration with software companies. For all the available resources see the OUP website.

Advisory group

The project benefited from the advice of an advisory group.

Evaluation

The pilot project has been being evaluated for its effectiveness in various ways. See Evaluation

National policy

The work on the model for Twenty First Century Science was commissioned by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). QCA also awarded the contract to run the pilot to the Awarding Body, OCR.
