Separate Sciences (Triple Science)

I hear that, from September 2008, all students getting KS3 SATS level 6 and above are 'entitled' to study separate sciences (triple science) at GCSE level. What exactly does entitlement mean?

Please give me some advice about the timing of teaching the separate sciences. Are the separate sciences meant to be taught in one academic year, or two?

What do you recommend as a year plan for teaching separate (triple) sciences?

Please clarify so I'm 100% sure: pupils who do the triple award will still sit the normal exams for GCSE Science and Additional Science, then extra exams for individual sciences?
