About us

Developing, and supporting the Twenty First Century Science suite of courses

Twenty First Century Science was developed as a partnership between:

Nuffield Foundation Curriculum Programme
The Nuffield Foundation aims to explore new approaches to teaching and learning by developing and supporting curriculum projects.

University of York Science Education Group (USYEG)
UYSEG supports a range of science curriculum projects at GCSE and A Level.

OCR
The awarding body, OCR, develops and provides a flexible range of qualifications that recognise the achievements of learners. OCR developed the Twenty First Century Science specifications and examinations in partnership with QCA and the Project Team. Examiners appointed by OCR now set the examination papers and moderate the assessment of skills.

Oxford University Press (OUP)
The publisher, OUP, is a department of the University of Oxford. It furthers the University's objective of excellence in research, scholarship, and education by publishing worldwide. OUP publish the curriculum materials in partnership with the Project Team and OCR.

The Project Team is based at the Nuffield Foundation and the University of York.
